Thursday, September 14, 2006 - (New dedication) at the complete set of photos located at Cottonwood Haven Photos.

Wednesday, September 13, 2006 - The Hale Bridge dedication was held today with the Anamosa Band, Olin players, and many dignitaries present. It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves. Be sure to stop and see as well as walk across the Hale Bridge in its new home.
Thursday, September 7, 2006 - The bridge is done!, the approaches are done, seeded and graveled. The dedication will be held at the bridge on Wednesday, September 13th from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, every one is welcome to celebrate the Hale Bridge starting a new era in its life.
Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - The plaques are ready to be installed. The large one was repaired by creating a new corner while the small one was cast from a wood mold which was created from a photo and a paper tracing of another one. Many thanks to "the Stove Nut" for spending many hours and knowing the right people to cast the iron for these bridge plaques.
Thursday, August 10, 2006 - Much work has been done on the bridge and I believe as of today the only remaining work is to seed the approaches. The approaches have been redone to make access easier. The fence on the bridge has been installed. It is looking great, for the grand opening in September!
Friday, April 14, 2006 - The west (park side) approach has been completed and work has started on the east (shaw road side) approach of the bridge.
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 - All of the decking has been replaced on the bridge. Work on the approaches will be started in the near future. The protective fence inside the bridge will be ordered soon.
Monday, March 20, 2006 - About two thirds of the decking has been replaced on the bridge. The bracing installed to stabilize the bridge is being removed as the decking is replaced.
Friday, March 10, 2006 - A better photo with all three spans in place and the sun is out as well.
Wednesday, March 8, 2006 - The Iowa Army National Guard flew the three spans of the Hale Bridge from the Olin/Hale staging areas to the new home across the Wapsipinnicon river at the Wapsipinnicon State Park in Anamosa, Iowa by helicopter. Two spans were actually put on the abutments and piers with the helicopters while the center span was set on the causeways at the base of the piers. Later in the afternoon Iowa Bridge Company lifted the center span into place with two cranes. It was a great day and a relief that everything went exactly according to plan. Everyone involved is to commended, and especially the Iowa Army National Guard.
Tuesday, March 7, 2006 - The morning was used to get the rigging in place on each of the three bridge spans and test lift them in preparation for tomorrows move to their new location.
Friday, March 3, 2006 - The new site is ready for the Hale Bridge to arrive!
February 20, 2006 - The large bridge span has completed the repairs, sand blasting, and painting. One of the two small spans has been repaired, sand blasted and primed for painting, while the other has been repaired and is being prepared for sand blasting this week. Target is to have all spans ready for flight stabilization by the end of next week.
The new piers and abutments have been completed at the Anamosa site including the Stone City Stone facing on the piers. There is still a lot of work to be done at the new home for the Hale Bridge but the resting place for it is ready!
